50 Songs From Each Of My 50 Years On Earth

Well, the date on this post says September 1 which is when I started it, but since then I indeed turned 50 on the 5th, and today is the 10th. So at least you have the whole timeline, which isn’t important at all but you’re welcome anyway... Hehe… But the point is I’ve now been on Earth for 50 years, and I thought it would be kind of cool to go through and pick my favorite song from every year I’ve been here. It’s a bit of a strange list and was a fun exercise. See, these are NOT my “50 favorite songs” because I picked one and only one for each year. Some years there were easily a dozen candidates and others there was only one obvious pick if that. Some bands are represented twice and some of my favorites not at all. These aren’t even the definitive “BEST” songs from each year, but rather just pretty much my favorite that was released in that calendar year from my iTunes - another criteria I set. I didn’t search beyond my own collection (which is plenty extensive). I just went through each year, tried to narrow down to one and let the chips fall where they may….
